Caledonia falls in Troodos Mountains
by: Helen

The Caledonia Falls are located close to Platres in the Troodos mountains.

The walk up to the Falls and further up if you want to do the entire Caledonian falls nature trail is only 3km each way, but don't be fooled, as this is a STEEP walk and very tiring if you are not used to hill walking.

You will need a sturdy pair of shoes, especially during the winter months as the trail will be wet and slippery after the winter rains. I'd also advise taking a walking pole or some kind of stick to steady you both up and downhill.

You can find information on how to get to the Caledonian Falls, pictures of the waterfall and a description of the lovely walk beside the waterfall on our Caledonian Falls page.

If you fancy a longer walk, you can access the Pouziaris trail from the top of the Caledonian trail - just turn right at the top and follow the forest path until you reach the next trail signs.

Enjoy your walk in the Troodos mountains.
