Taste of Cyprus wine
by: Helen

I'll be honest and say that there are none as Cyprus wine is unique!

Most quality Cypriot white wine is made from the Zynisteri grape, unique to Cyprus. It tastes "similar" to a Sauvignon Blanc and is dry, fresh and fruity without being heavy.

If you want something like Australian Chardonnay, try the local village "yellow" wine - horrible in my opinion but then I don't like Australian Chardonnay either - far too heavy!

Chablis? No nothing similar you need to go to France!
