by Sally
(Cyprus)

A friendly family run restaurant, we have used this restaurent since we came to live in Cyprus 6 years ago. Excellent value for money - a must to try.

Directions to Kathikas
by: Helen

Kathikas village is located between Paphos and Polis
on the northwest of the island.
You can get to it either via the E709 road from Coral Bay/Peyia or via the E711 from Stroumpi.

From Paphos centre the quickest way is via the main B7 road. Turn left onto the E711 at the top of Stroumpi (on the main road) and Kathikas is about 6km drive - a beautiful scenic route.

Could you post some directions to 'Kathikas' please. Cypriot maps are sparse on detail, and place name spelling can vary on English language maps.

Restaurants in Kathikas
by: Helen (website owner)

Yes the Farmyard is good, especially good value is their buffet dinner for ?10 euros per head 3x per week.

Kathikas is just a great village for eating as all the restaurants there are good. The Farmyard caters for more European tastes as does Petradaki, which in my view, while excellent, makes Cypriot food for English palates. Yianni's is great for huge plates of food and Araouzos (next door to Yianni's) serves traditionally Cypriot style food eg. rabbit stifado.

Imogens is good for vegetarian food but the service can be iffy plus I once had bad food poisoning there as the food, I believe, had been prepared on a hot day and left out of the fridge.
