Gourmet Taverna, Kato Paphos

The menu offers a range of Local Cypriot dishes as well as other classic food. Their Soutzakakia Smyrneica are to die for and my wife's favourite is the prawns in ouzo. Also worth a mention is the duck in Commandaria sauce. All served by friendly waiters on the sea front in Paphos (Not the Castle Harbour end but about half way along the sea front road).

best place for best food

visiting this resturant is pure pleasure.
the food is the best. big dishes excellent servis.
very profesional. a family resturant that gives you excellent time. you will find there three broders: nucolas, dimitris & savas who are friendly & kind. don't miss this resturant!.
i'm traveling cyprus for the last ten years & i know the best places. gourmetaverna is on of them!

spectacular food

we lunch at Gourmet Taverner most days.....we are lucky to live here in Cyprus through the winter months..the food is exceptional...sitting outside with a lovely feta salad lunch watching the world go by and with one of the best views on the harbour is perfection...the staff are friendly and welcoming... the food is of exceptional standard...the salads and vegetables are picked fresh daily from their own gardens and it shows in all of the flavours ..end your lovely meal with a piece of home made Orange cake...and you will go back every day for some more.....not surprised that this wonderful Taverna has made it into the 2012 Best Tavernas to eat in Paphos.....go try ....it is amazing

I am not normally a person who returns from holiday and goes out of their way to write a report! My wife and son went there 4 times on our first trip to Cyprus and I write to tell you if you like top notch food and a wee bit of patter with the staff, go to the Gourmet Taverna. Its quality eating and drinking at very reasonable prices. A lunch will cost about 8 euro (ie only 2 euro more than the usual dirge)and I cannot rave highly enough about our experience. Go there, have a drink, have some lunch and watch the world walk by. Its classy man!!

Gourmet Taverna best on seafront!

We have been to this fab restaurant 2 years running and will definately be going again this summer.The menu is original mixing traditional Cypriot food to contempory. The staff are all very friendly and the prices are realistic for the excellent quality of food on offer. If you are looking for somewhere to dine with friends or want a romantic venue, The Gourmet is by far the best on the Paphos seafront.Don't be tempted by the tavernas at the castle end, they are expensive and poor quality-they see the tourists coming!
