Best Places to go for young people in Cyprus

My two friends and I are 21 year old American girls and living in Europe. We are heading to Cyprus in early September and have booked our flight into Paphos. I have heard that Agia Napa is the place to go for young people, but that is a bit far from Paphos. Is there good nightlife and beaches in Paphos, or should we try and figure out how to get to Agia Napa?

Resorts for nightlife in Cyprus

Paphos has plenty of bars (in bar street!) and nightclubs, although most younger people do head for Ayia Napa which is classed as the Ibiza of Cyprus.

If you plan to lie on a beach all day and party all night, the beaches are better in Ayia Napa as they are more sandy eg. Nissi beach. In Paphos, you need to head for Coral Bay to get to the best sandy beach. It's a 20 minute bus ride from Kato Paphos, the tourist area, but there are several good bars in Coral Bay playing live music etc.

I'm way too old for nightclubs now, but friends who have young kids (15-18 years old) tell me there is plenty of nightlife in Paphos. There are also several cool and trendy cafe bars like Muse in old Paphos which is a great place to start your evening. Just get talking to a few locals and they will show you where to go next to while away the small hours!

At 21, you might just be too old for Ayia Napa anyway :)
