Ancient sites and quiet beaches

Great site. Myself and my wife will be visiting there in Late June to early July.

We really like to Visit Ancient Sites.... and hang out at beaches. Been very successful at places like Crete, Southern Turkey, Spain. We just want to avoid Crowds, and rowdy tourists.. looking for beautiful secluded , not crowded beaches, and accessible sites...
What city is the best place for us to stay at, and what Ancient sites and beaches are close by.

I understand that Paphos has a ton of Ancient sites, but also it is a hotbed for tourists and crowded beaches, looking for an alternative
Again I appreciate any helpful information you can provide
Thanks

Quiet unspoilt Cyprus

Yes paphos is a great location for ancient sites, but it is very touristy espeically in high season Jun-July.

Polis area, as you can read on my site, is the quiet end of the island (if you also want beaches otherwise head for the Troodos mountains).

I would suggest you stay in Polis and use the bus service which is cheap and takes an hour to get to Paphos to see the sites like Tombs of the Kings and the Mosaics next to the harbour.

See my Polis hotels page for ideas on where to stay. - This page has small hoytels plus Agrotorism properties.
