What are the prices for car insurance in North Cyprus?

What are the charges when going across the border from Kato Pyrgos at the Limnitis crossing for the necessary Turkish third party car insurance document? I understand this can be for 1 day, 1 month, 6 months or 12 months.

Car insurance for Northern Cyprus

I haven't crossed the border for over 3 years but the last time we did, we paid around €100 Euros for 12 months insurance. A day pass (which I think has to be for 3 days as a minimum now) was €25 Euros. Please note this is only for 3rd party insurance as they won't offer fully comprehensive.

Most people who cross the border more than once a year go for the 12 months option. Be warned that if you buy 12 months insurance at the border you won't always get your insurance certificate as it has to be sent from the North by the insurance office. They give you a 3 day cover note to cover your journey but in our experience, the post never gets through from the North and we never got our certificate, which is one reason we never went back!
