Rehab in Cyprus

Yiasas Helen . . apologies if this is repeat question but I didnt see it on the list !

Im thinking of coming to Cyprus for a cpl of weeks rehab after some surgery. I can only swim or run in the sea for a few months but that means I need a sandy bottom (the sea not me!) and Im not really coming for socialising, its been a very hard year and I also need a personal circuit breaker I'm afraid.

Could you offer me any advice on where I should be looking for a quiet place near some sea I can swim in all day please ? I dont want a resort or catering etc, the more organic the better tbh and I can drive so will have a car.

Hut on a beach type of thing maybe, maybe I'm reaching :)

Anyway, thanks for any advice you can offer me !

Oliver

Rehabilitation in Cyprus after surgery
by: Helen

Hi Oliver
Apologies for the late reply. If you need a sandy beach, you need to head for the Larnaca side of the island to either Ayia Napa or Protaras areas.

Ayia Napa is usually the youngsters resort, but in low season (pretty much the whole of the year due to Covid!) it's very quiet. Look up Nissi beach and you will see what I mean.

We do have a few sandy beaches on the Paphos side eg. Coral Bay, but most beaches this side are stony/light gravel - my preference as sand can get too hot, but not if you want to run in/near the water!

Many tavernas are closed as no business, but there will be a few open for the locals.

Good luck
