I am going to Cyprus in October 2013. I am 56 years old. Where are the best places to go and how much will I need?

Things to do in Cyprus and places to see
by: Helen (website owner)

Cyprus is a large island so if you want to see the best of what's on offer, I recommend you hire a car. They are not too expensive in October. Check with my recommended car hire company. for the best price.

My 101 things to do in Cyprus guide will give you a wide variety of things to do and places to see. It depends on what interests you of course, but there are many ancient archeological sites, such as Kourion near Limassol or the mosaics in UNESCO listed Paphos.

If you like beautiful beaches, you have a huge choice and there are lots of different foods to try from kleftiko to sheftalia and the Cypriot favourite pork souvlaki.

Or simiply head for the hills and the Troodos mountains to discover the real Cyprus far from the beach resorts.

As to how much money you'll need, it depends on whether you plan to eat out every night or self cater. Allow €15-20 per night for a meal and around €100 for a week's shopping at the supermarket.

My site has everything you need to plan your holidays in Cyprus. Just keep reading!
