Eco Friendly Water Bottles

Reduce the plastic mountain - buy eco friendly water bottles not single-use plastic bottles that damage health and the environment!

I counted 250 plastic bottles discarded by the side of the road yesterday - in just a 2.5km stretch. We should be ashamed!

I always carry one of my reusable BPA-free plastic cycling bottles when out and about, but wouldn't it be great if EVERYONE carried an eco friendly bottle?

What about a cool one like this made out of stainless steel, great for hot and cold drinks.

Insulated Eco Friendly Water Bottles

Keen hikers and trekkers have been using insulated water bottles for years. But many well-known outdoor brands like Sigg are made from aluminium rather than stainless steel.

Stainless steel water bottles are different in that they are TOTALLY BPA free (BPA stands for Bisphenol A, that can cause a range of health problems including cancer). They also are fully insulated as they have two layers of stainless steel that keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold for 24 hours.

While a single 1 litre bottle might seem expensive at around £20.00 to £25.00, believe me, once you have used the bottle multiple times you will quickly see how much money you are saving versus buying bottled water. We have an eco-friendly filtration system on our water supply, so filling eco-friendly water bottles is super easy and cheap!

Tip: You can buy small half litre stainless steel bottles which are half the price like the stylish insulated water bottle with a spout lid .

Save Money on Buying Water

A few sobering facts that might help you decide whether it's a good idea to save money on buying water:

  • 17 million barrels of oil are used to produce bottled water each year.
  • Plastic leaches toxins into water, which can cause health problems including affecting reproduction and casuing cancer.
  • Around 50 billion bottles of water are bought each year and 80% end up in landfill!

Just some food or rather water for some eco-friendly water bottles and help to save the planet.
