Drink drive alcohol limit in Cyprus
by: Helen

I'm not a lawyer so you need to get proper legal advice, but the drink drive alcohol limit in Cyprus is as follows:

1 If the breath/alcohol level equals or exceeds 22 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
2 If the blood/alcohol level equals or exceeds 50 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood (0.5 grams per litre) .

So if in the first case above, yours was 27 microgrammes as I think your question implies, then you would be guilty of drink driving.

The penalty I believe is 3 to 6 points on your licence and a fine to be determined by the court.
