I'm coming to Cyprus the first week in January. Could you tell me if are there any boat trips which stop off at bays for swimming or any snorkelling or diving trips on that week, thank you Jennie

Boat trips in Cyprus in January
by: Helen (website owner)

January is the quietest month of the year here in Cyprus when many restaurants and hotels close. It's also the month when we're most likely to get heavy rain accompanied by wind, thunder and lightening!

For that reason, as well as the lack of tourists in general, most of the small boats in the harbour are taken out of the water and the larger cruise boats that go up and down the Akamas just don't leave harbour - the sea is too choppy and there aren't enough clients to warrant taking the boats out.

I can only comment on Paphos/Polis and Latchi as that's where I live, but I'm pretty sure the same applies to the rest of the island.

If the weaher is good and the sea calm, you may be able to hire a private boat. Just ask at the nearest harbour to wherever you are staying.
