Cypriot nationality

I am from Jordan (middle east) and pregnant. If I deliver in Cyprus, will my new born get the nationality of Cyprus and will my new born child be able to give the nationality to her older sister (6 years old).

We own an appartment in Limassol as well, will this help?

Thanks,
Lana

I'm not an expert on this but my understanding is that you can claim nationality of a country if you were born in that country, regardless of the nationality of your parents.

At the same time, you would also be able to claim nationality of the country of your parents which is why many people have dual passports, one for the country of their parents and one for the country in which they were born.

No your newborn child would not be able to pass nationality to any siblings (sister or brother) as their nationality is also determined by where they were born. If that was in Jordan and you are also from Jordan then the child would have Jordanese nationality.
