Best restaurants for Saturday outing in Paphos

I am here in Cyprus only for a few more days and would like to drive to Paphos to see St Paul's Pillar. My business colleague is not as sold on a 2-hour cross-island drive, so I would like to find a unique restaurant/tavern in the Paphos area to help pique his interest.

Can you advise, thanks

There's only one

Considering where you are going, there is only one restaurant to go to and that is the Syrian Restaurant. Utterly gorgeous food, reasonably priced and charming waiters. There is no pressure on you to hurry and it is very close to St Paul's Pillar - look it up on Tripadvisor. I was only there today. We took a friend and had their version of Mezedes, for 16 Euros each, she has lived here for ages and had never heard of it and is now so disappointed as she is going back to the UK to live. The food is actually Lebanese and, amazingly, is incredibly tasty but has the added bonus of being extremely healthy which is quite something. I think it is on Saturday nights they have a belly dancer too but I am not sure as I have only ever been during the day.
Can I seriously recommend that you try them you will not be at all disappointed. If you need to ask someone where it is, it is across the road from the Mosque which you could miss as it is a temporary building.

Good restaurants in Paphos
by: Helen (website owner)

What constitutes a best restaurant is ultimately a matter of personal taste, but why don't you start by looking at my recommendations on great Cyprus restaurants, all of which are in the Paphos area.

The Seven St Georges used to be very good but I have heard some not so good comments more recently from people who live on the island.

Don't forget to book in advance and check opening times as some restaurants have limited opening hours once the main summer season (April-October) is over.
