Best area to live in Nicosia, Cyprus

I'm Sergio and I'm Italian ... but I have been posted to Cyprus for work.
I would like to ask you some questions.
First of all what is the best area to live in Nicosia ?
Can you suggest me some places when I can rent a flat in Nicosia, seeing that I going to work for UN in Ledra Palace ?
I'm looking for a place to rent within walking distance to a shopping mall, close to center and close to Ledra Palace ..

Sergio I'm not able to give much advice sorry as I live 2.5 hours away and only know Nicosia from visiting the city.

My advice would be to contact your employers to ask their advice as I really don't know which areas of Nicosia are good from bad and which are more expensive than others.

If you are working near Ledra palace, you may be able to rent somewhere in the Turkish controlled part of the cit where rents will be cheaper, then cross the border each day for work.

Or google rental companies in Nicosia to enquire about rental prices and best places..
