We're lucky enough to live on the island now but we enjoyed holidays in Cyprus for many years before deciding to move here. We have SO many photos from our holidays and SO many special memories, it was hard to pinpoint the most special one.

But then we thought of the magical sunsets in Cyprus which led us to remembering these special moments...

One of our first sunsets on the west of the island in Paphos at a restaurant near Coral bay...on our second wedding anniversary.

We ate some fantastic grilled fish then watched the sun sink slowly towards the horizon...and then it was gone, in a flash, and I hardly had time to take the photo...

or maybe I'm not a very good photographer...

Then we moved to the island and rented a villa for a while near Argaka.

The sunsets there were spectacular, although it was rare that the whole sky would turn bright orange.

This time it did and I managed to get a shot in before the sun slipped over the horizon...!

But our most special magic moment which truly captures all our memories of our Cyprus vacations as well as our first year on the island, was seeing THIS particular sunset.

My husband Al was so inspired by the colour of the sky, he just had to get on his bike and ride...off into the sunset!

The only sunset that has come close to that one since is actually this sunrise! Cyprus sunrise

Imagine doing your early morning yoga routine here...

puts a whole new meaning on your salute to the sun pose!
