It's half day on Wednesdays in Polis. That means that "most" shops shut at 1 pm - you will find a few open until 1.30pm but no later. By "most" that means clothes shops, DIY stores and banks but NOT the large supermarkets or even many of the smaller kiosk fruit markets - they need the trade too much to close! Some shops will shut earlier if they have no customers.
For information, most shops in Polis and Paphos shut every lunchtime between 1 and 3pm. But restaurants and bars will be open...
