What is the legal age in Cyprus to do the following...?

1) move out of the house?

2) find a job?
3) rent a flat?
I'm 15 and I want to move out of my parents house, find a job and save up a bit of money to leave the country. I hate it here. The people think a lot about themselves, they are very rude and the heat is unbearable.

Legal age in Cyprus to get work
by: Helen

In theory if you had enough of your own money, you could leave home and rent a flat. In practice however I believe you have to have your own bank account and proof of several bills that have been paid plus possibly a reference to be able to sign a rental agreement.

On the work front I think employees must be at least 16 but there are unscrupulous people who will turn a blind eye to get cheap labour
(eg for bar work) and not question someone if they lie or can't provide evidence of their age.

My advice if you really hate living at home that much is to finish your education so you have something to offer employers in a competitive world.

And don't just run off on your own where you may well become the prey of unscrupulous people who will use you.
