Sunset wedding cruise in Cyprus aboard the Koulla

Sunset wedding cruise in Cyprus aboard the Koulla

Could you tell me if there is a traditional wooden boat / fishing boat in the Latchi/Polis area that could be hired for a civil wedding ceremony. I know that Paphos have the Jolly Roger II, however, it will be just the two of us and would ideally like to book a hotel in the Latchi/Polis area, which would make it easier to travel to the boat for the wedding.

King regards

Hi Claire

There's a lovely old fishing boat based in Latchi harbour called the Koulla. Whilst it normally just takes visitors on day cruises with a BBQ along the Akamas peninsula it can also be hired for special occasions.

See the picture I attached which shows the sunset from the front of the boat (taken on a friends' wedding day)

I would recommend you book it for late afternoon to make the most of the sunset though you would have to consider the latest time the local mayor's office can perform the ceremony. Depending on the time of year you want to get married that may not be a problem but if you want to get married in high summer, the boat will cost more as it would normally be full of day visitors.

For accommodation you could stay at The Latchi hotel right on the harbour and 30m from the boat!
see the review made by another visitor to the site.

The Koulla is owned by Christine and her tel number is: 00357 99675306 - she speaks excellent English. The boat takes about 50-60 people.
