Visa requirements for Cyprus for spouse (not citizen)

I live in Australia however I am a Cyprian citizen and have a Cyprian passport. Me and my husband want to live in Europe, what visa will he need? Can he obtain Cyprian citizenship?

My husband is a UK national with a british passport, we are married and i have a South African passport with indefinite leave to remain in the uk. We want to travel to Cyprus on holiday for 10 days. Do i need a visa, and if so, what is required?

Moving to Cyprus from London

My response given on May 18th below applies to you too. If you are MARRIED, then your wife/husband can coome to Cyprus with you. You need to visit the immigration dept immediately on arrival to sort the paperwork.

I'm a Cypriot citizen living in London at the moment. I wanna go back to Cyprus to live there but I have a concern about my spouse who comes from Pakkistan and lives there. Can she get a spouse visa or something for Cyprus and live with me in Cyprus? What is the procedure?

Cyprus citizen moving to Europe

Hi

As A Cypriot (citizen) you are allowed to freely settle in any other European country although you obviously have to visit the immigration department in the country you choose to arrange the relevant paperwork.

I'm not 100% sure about your spouse but assuming you are married, then as far as I'm aware, he would also be allowed to reside and transfer his residency to wherever you choose to live, whether that is Cyprus or elsewhere.

Citizenship is another thing as you have to live for a minimum number of years in another country to get citizenship.

I suggest you contact the Cyprus embassy in Australia who will be able to give you all the relevant options and what paperwork etc you need to complete.
