Cycling in Cyprus

Laneia village is located off the main B8 road between Limassol and the Troodos mountains. The village is at the end of a main road marked in red on the maps.

All roads marked in red are suitable for road cycling. Whilst many roads marked in yellow (ie B roads) are also finished with tarmac or asphalt, some of these roads have gravel sections in the middle, as improvements to the road network may not have reached that section yet!

It all adds to the fun if you are exploring Cyprus by car but not so great for a road cyclist!

Stick to the main red roads and all will be fine.

As the village is close to Troodos, head up the B8 to Platres and pick up one of the road marked cycling trails there - marked by a blue dotted line on the side of the road.
