While the biggest hotel in the area, the gorgeous Anassa just outside Latchi harbour, is too expensive for most budgets, we do now have a couple of other lovely spa hotel options, the Ayii Anargyri Natural Healing Spa Hotel located in Miliou and the Akamas Health Farm and Spa, set in a spectacular location in Drouseia. If you're looking to stay in a rustic traditional Cypriot house, this "hotel" of 5 village houses is the perfect choice. Unique to this selection of Polis hotels, the houses originate from the 18th century and have been beautifully restored with a mix of traditional stone both inside and out, complemented by modern luxuries inside. The houses are located in Goudi village, 5km from the centre of Polis, have gorgeous wooden fixtures and fittings and include modern all amenities including air conditioning and log fires. A welcome pack is included with all bookings.
NEW Ayii Anargyri Natural Healing Spa Hotel Gorgeous new spa hotel styled to look like a Cypriot monastery with its distinctive stone build and wooden doors and windows, Ayii Anargyri exudes class and tranquillity. Set in the beautiful Miliou valley, approximately 15 minutes drive from Polis hotels, the hotel has 150 rooms and is the perfect retreat for yoga lovers, outdoor enthusiasts or just those who want to indulge in a little piece of private luxury. Amenities include a range of different beautifully appointed rooms from standard classic rooms to spa suites, a state of the art cardio fitness centre, marble floors and fireplaces and the star attraction, the health and wellness spa with sulphur spring pools. The hotel is ranked as a 4 star but here's a tip - it's better and cheaper than the Anassa!
NEW Akamas Health Farm and Spa Set in a spectacular location on the hillside below Drouseia village, the brand new Akamas Health Farm and Spa resort offers elegant accommodation far from the madding crowds, yet only 10 minutes drive from Polis and Latchi. You can do a full detox programme at the spa or just enjoy the luxurious surroundings, swim in either the indoor or outdoor pools or enjoy a relaxing massage from one of the spa's therapists.There is an excellent restaurant on site or you can wander up to Drouseia village to enjoy a traditional Cypriot meze in the evening. The three star Stephanos apartment hotel is a popular family run hotel in the heart of Polis. It consists of 36 apartments spread across 4 buildings where guests can either self cater or enjoy a meal at the air conditioned a la carte restaurant. Amenities include a bar, hairdresser, internet access and a car park/garage plus bike storage. These hotel apartments are the best in Polis town centre and offer a great central location from which to explore the local area.
The Akamanthea holiday village is a small, sophisticated set of beautifully finished apartments arranged around a fabulous infinity pool. Located in a quiet rural location between Polis and Latchi and only minutes from the sea. The owners take great pride in maintaining rooms to the highest of standards and, whilst the Akamanthea is a little more expensive than other holiday villages in the area, guests will appreciate why.
The 2 star Bayview apartments are highly popular amongst Polis hotels due to their close proximity to the beach and the friendly laid back atmosphere. The 24 units are well furnished and guests can enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the pool gardens in the centre of the complex. Popular with all European nationalities, be sure to book early in the Autumn as these apartments get very busy as they are such good value for money.
The three star Natura Beach hotel is set in tranquil grounds right next to the sea. Guests return year after year to enjoy the peaceful environment surrounding this lovely hotel whose owner is an outdoor enthusiast and will entertain you with stories of the local flora and fauna. Fresh fruit and vegetables are grown in the hotel gardens and guests can choose from sea view or mountain view rooms or stay in one of the 5 villas adjoining the hotel. Book early in spring and autumn as the hotel is normally full with walkers and cyclists.
