The picture of the cats sleeping together brings home just how hard it is for cats to survive on the street out here.

Our cats love to sit in front of the fire when it gets cold in the winter months, so I guess these cats are doing the same, just huddling together to keep as warm as possible.

Now we have a small dog too - a rescue dog found abandoned in a quarry as we were cycling - and he too loves to sit in front of the fire - all three of them are there sometimes. I don't know how they can stand the heat, but then they are used to living in 30+ degrees in the summer so they must feel the cold in winter even with all that fur.
