Motorhomes on Cyprus?

by Emily
(Sussex, UK)

My husband and I love travelling and having picnics. We hope to buy our own motorhome this year and spend about 4 months a year in Europe, moving from place to place.

Is it at all possible to get a motorhome to Cyprus and are there any motorhome/caravan parks there to hook up in?

What a great question Emily. I know you are a picnic addict as you have your own website all about picnics. Have fun on your next picnic in Cyprus!

Camper van to rent?
by: Tommi

I will be staying in Nicosia two months this spring with my family. Is there any place to rent a campervan to discover the island?

motorhome heaven

Emily,
You may already be here in Cyprus and if so, you will no doubt have discovered the many delights we have for someone with a motorhome.
We live here for 5 months each year and the only thing missing from our lives is a small campervan, preferably 4x4 to further explore the hundreds of miles of good 'dirt' roads crisscrossing the island through the most incredible scenery.
We have a motorhome in the UK and a small campervan in Australia but for anyone looking for idyllic safe FOC camping spots in beautiful friendly places, with guaranteed sunshine, great tavernas and delightful people, Cyprus gets our vote.

Good luck .. mike

Driving a motor home to Cyprus
by: Helen

While most people fly to the island, you can certainly drive here and that includes in a motorhome! You'll need to cross Europe and then either take a ferry from Italy or continue into Greece and get a ferry from there.

We do have camp sites and plenty of picnic sites here but you can also just park up pretty much anywhere you like as long as you don't block the road. Keep off the main roads and head for the hills and you'll discover a Cyprus that most sun seeking tourists never see.

Enjoy Emily!
