Learn Greek building terms

It's not easy to learn Greek building terms. But if you are building your dream home in Cyprus, you may well find these words invaluable, especially if you have a builder who claims he cannot speak English!

Building site picture Cyprus We found that learning a few simple Greek words for various rooms and basic house construction made a world of difference in terms of managing our dream home project.

We were able to communicate with the builder's workers on site when the builder was not present.

Tip: Any builder will only visit the site first thing in the morning, leaving his workers with a list of jobs to do. These workers rarely speak English so it's vital that you can communicate effectively. We were able to stop a lot of errors being made just by learning a few simple words.
