Larnaca is popular with many visitors to Cyprus for lots of reasons.

First, the town, on the East of the island, is home to the main international airport on the island and the arrival point for most scheduled airlines and transatlantic flights.

The seafront has a wonderful palm lined avenue perfect for strolling along in the warm summer evenings.
You have a wide choice of resorts around the area including Protaras, Paralimni and Ayia Napa, the nightclub capital of Cyprus - not for the faint hearted though!
Many of the hotels in the town are right on the beach - perfect for sunbathing and relaxing.

It's worth noting that in the East, all the water comes from desalination plants. That's fine for showers, washing clothes and filling your pool but not for drinking.

Make sure you buy bottled water for drinking purposes.

And don't forget you can visit northern Cyprus easily via the Famagusta crossing which is located in the military base on the east.
