Protaras is the other side of Larnaca and on the opposite side of the (South) island from Paphos.
It will take around 1.5 to 2 hours by car depending on how fast you drive (max speed is 100km) and the distance is around 180km.
It's pretty much all motorway, however, but pretty boring, dependent on whether you like motorway driving or not!
You could always stop for lunch at Pissouri village, halfway between Paphos and Larnaca. The Hideaway taverna there is well priced and a real experience - head for the square and turn left at the top, then next left into the Hideaway.
