Another favourite Cyprus restaurant - Seven St Georges

Seven St Georges for a unique meze meal.

The Seven St Georges run by George, of course!

This Cyprus restaurant Seven St Georges is a little bit different.

It's not in a tiny village where we normally like to go (although it USED to be!) but in a suburb, Geroskipou, of the large resort town of Paphos.

The reason we like it is because you really will get an unusual meze meal here.

There is no set menu, they just serve the food, 6 dishes at a time...until you tell them to stop. Yes this is "Eat as much as you want" Cyprus style!

And you will get to try lots of dishes that you won't find anywhere else especially the "dips" made from all sorts of seasonal ingredients and not just the traditional taramasalata, tahinisalata and tsatziki.

On our first visit, we asked for a small meze, knowing that most meze lunches are FAR too big. Unfortunately, the chef didn't understand the word "small" and, as we kept eating all the wonderful dishes, more and more kept coming...

The only downside to the Seven St Georges is the price - it IS more expensive than the hillside village tavernas, but if you can eat as much as you want...it's probably well worth the money if you have a BIG appetite!
