Cyprus Mountain Biking

See pictures of Cyprus mountain biking to see what you can expect from a day on the trails in sunny Cyprus.

If you love cross country trail riding, then you will adore cycling in Cyprus on a mountain bike.

Sure you can throw yourself off a cliff face or rattle your teeth down a technical rocky descent, but the vast majority of riding on the island is on mile after mile of rubbly, gravel tracks, taking in some of the most beautiful scenery you can imagine.

We recently went riding in the Polis/Akamas and Paphos forest areas with Italian photo journalist Enrico Carraciolo and he kindly sent me some of the stunning pictures he took. So I thought I'd share them with you.

If you're inspired to try some mountain biking of your own in Cyprus, all you need is a good quality mountain bike and an experienced mountain bike guide to show you the best trails.

Mountain Bike Cyprus

There are some fabulous gorges in the Polis area with weird and wonderful rock formations and trails that snake their way through the gorges. This one is a favourite, nicknamed the witches gorge due to the rock in the second picture below.
