Getting a quick online travel insurance quote often takes time as you need to read the small print to make sure your travel insurance cover is exactly what you need. Things to watch out for are:

• Most online travel insurance quotes have a restriction on age, usually a maximum of 65 years of age. Some also have different prices based on age banding - the older you are, the higher the quote.
• Check WHERE you will be covered as prices are different depending on whether you are travelling in Europe or the rest of the world (including and excluding the US).
• If you are looking for annual cheap travel insurance, check the maximum allowed length of any one trip eg. it may be 30 days so no good for a three month backpacking trip.
• Winter sports and/or Extreme sports are usually not covered either in single trip or multi trip insurance policies - again you need to read the small print which all takes time.
