I would like to know the maximum age limit for car hire in Cyprus.

Age restrictions for car hire in Cyprus

There is no easy answer as to the age limit on car hire in Cyprus as it depends on who you rent from.

You have to be at least 25 years old in most cases or you pay a young driver's surcharge and many firms also have a surcharge if you are over 75.

While some larger firms advertise no upper age limit, if they operate under a franchise, then often the franchisee imposes a restriction.

Some smaller firms, desperate for business, will let you hire a car in Cyprus no matter how old you are.

My best advice is to check out my recommended car hire companies and read the small print on any age restrictions.
