Best agrotourism residences

My fiance' and I are planning to spend our honeymoon in Western Cyprus in March. We would love to stay in one of the old self-catering restored houses on the agrotourism residences website, preferably in or near Paphos. Would you have any suggestions for the best residences you would recommend? Thanks.

Agrotourism accommodation near Paphos
by: Helen

There are no actual Agrotourism houses in Paphos itself. This is because Paphos has grown into a large resort and Agrotourism is aimed at people looking to get away from it all in one of the quieter villages.

But there are many choices in the Paphos area.
If you want to be closer to Paphos, look in the villages of Arodes and Kathikas (15 minutes from Paphos centre).

These are close together and Kathikas has a good choice of restaurants and tavernas plus two wineries. They are situated on the edge of the Akamas peninsula which is ideal for outdoor activities like walking and cycling. All the residences are similar in style as they are restored to the same standards so just choose one that appeals most from the description.
Don't forget you will need a car to get these locations and, if coming in March, bring some warmer clothing for the evenings as these villages are in the hills (600-800m above sea level). Do check that your chosen accommodation has some form of heating in case you need it for those cooler evenings!

An alternative choice would be Drouseia village (near to where we live). The Sophos Manor house there is lovely (and heated) and there are stunning views from Drouseia to the coast.

Enjoy your honeymoon

Helen
