Property prices have been rising sharply in Cyprus over the past year especially in the Polis area. Most apartments are now in the €150,000 Euros range/CYP £90,000.

The Kinousa tavern is situated in Kinousa (of course) which is a small village high on the hill above Argaka and the Limni mines area.

Run by Pia and her husband Sam, it used to just do meze nights but has now started doing Sunday lunch too.

Pis is from Sweden but has lived on the island for many years so cooks in a traditional Cypriot style but with a Scandinavian/European twist. Try it and see - excellent value for money and a lovely tranquil setting.
